Tire Options

You can now choose between upgraded 103′′ Tuovt street tires or hybrid 103′′ Tupda off-road tires.

The wider tire is more comfortable to ride on than the 102.5′′ size because it is more stable at high speeds, lasts longer, and is less likely to get a flat because it has a larger contact area with the road.

If you plan to use the scooter mostly on paved surfaces, you probably don’t want knobby tires. They make the ride rougher and make it harder to turn. But this hybrid tire is a good compromise between traction off-road and ride quality on the street. It has a tread that is continuous enough that it doesn’t change the ride quality much.

With the Xtasy fold-in handlebars, the Lightning+ can be folded down in just a few seconds. When folded, it takes up 16.7 inches less space (10 inches) than the original Lightning, making it easier to store in the trunk of a car, on a train, or at home. It also has new and improved ergonomic grips made of rubber.

Zoom Hydraulic Brakes

With the Zoom hydraulic brakes, which have bigger brake pads, you can stop more precisely and effectively than with the Lightning’s cable brakes.

Upgraded 1200W Motors

Upgraded 60-volt battery pack with a capacity of 21Ah/1260Wh, which gives the upgraded dual-1200W motors enough power. This higher voltage means faster acceleration and a higher 5MPH max speed/RPM than the 52v battery in the original Lightning. In addition to the difference in voltage, the Lightning+ has an extra 303Wh of capacity, which gives it about 10 or more miles more range than the standard Lightning. The price difference between the two types is mostly due to the fact that the Lightning+ has a better LG battery cell.

Dual-motor High-Performance Scooter

The original Lightning has two 1000W motors (upgraded from two 800W motors) and two separate controllers that can deliver a maximum of 3,600W. On flat ground, it can go as fast as 40 mph, and it has more than enough power to handle most hills.

Battery Pack

The classic Lightning is now available with a single 957Wh Sincpower 18650 2.6Ah cell battery. Compared to the Ninebot ES2 scooter, this one is 5 times bigger, 2.5 times taller, and 50% bigger than the Turbowheel Dart. On a bigger, faster scooter, people tend to drive it at higher speeds, which uses a lot more battery per mile. Assuming a 160-pound rider going 20 mph on long, open paths, the general rule of thumb is that the battery will use 25Wh per mile, giving the Sincpower pack about 37 miles of range. The battery pack is set up as a 14S7P, which means that it has 14 cells in a row and 7 cells in parallel, for a total of 98 18650 battery cells.

Extra Features

There are a few extra features that make the Lightning stand out from the other models, like the key security system and the voltmeter that is placed above this. You can use two standard chargers at the same time with the dual-input charging ports on the side. You can also use a 5A rapid charger, but not two 5A chargers at the same time. The screw-adjustable rear suspension damper is another thing that makes this scooter stand out. It lets the rider set how firm the ride is based on his or her weight and personal preference.
